On Tuesday, two of Lawrence’s finest bands will have some new music available for your listening pleasure.

The Appleseed Cast is releasing their latest EP, “Middle States.” Hospital Ships will also be dropping their much-anticipated album, Lonely Twin.

Both bands have been busy building momentum for their new albums. The Appleseed Cast has been touring like crazy, and Hospital Ships is gearing up for a summer tour after a stint with Austin City Limits.

Speaking of Austin, I had the pleasure of watching both bands play at the Graveface Showcase there for SXSW. It was one of the more intense shows I’d seen this year, and most certainly a sign of (great) things to come.
