It’s an exciting month for local Beatles fans. In addition to their recent release “Now and Then,” dubbed “the last Beatles song,” there’s a chance to dive head-first into your fandom for the fab four.

A hoard of local musicians are gathering to celebrate The Beatles’ White Album at the Lawrence Arts Center next week. In a happy marriage of both auditory and visual delights, the concert coincides with Rutherford Chang’s “We Buy White Albums” exhibition in the gallery.

Artists set to take the stage and tackle the classic include Nick Carswell (keys, guitar), Jason Slote (drums), Michael Stephenson (bass), Mark Murtha (guitar), Heidi Gluck (vocals), CS Luxem (vocals), Audrey Herren (cello), and Dave Gnojek (sax). This is part of the Arts Center’s Downtown Underground concerts, so you’ll recognize some of their favorite players in the series.

In anticipation of the big day, Luxem, Carswell, and Slote covered “I Will” inside the gallery exhibition. You can watch that video below, then check out the big show on Friday, November 17th, at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are available on the Lawrence Arts Center’s website.
