We’ve been looking for something to light a fire under everyone’s butt for a while now, and this is it.

Black On Black wowed an unsuspecting audience at the Replay on Friday when they exploded into the night. The band from brothers Wade and John delivered an impressive and healthy dose of hardcore that left most of their fans’ ears ringing well through Saturday.

The rockers had an intimidating onstage presence; they packed so much clamor into just a guitar, bass, and drums. The apathetic crowd sprang into action once those perfect punk harmonies hit their ears (every note and chord was spot on). Not only were the rambunctious rockers charming, they were bursting with boisterous energy, thrusting themselves as much as possible across the stage. The set was so impressive, several people lined up to shake the sweat-soaked frontman’s hand at the end.

A show from this brutal band is not to be missed. If nothing else, Black On Black is the best answer to awaken your soul in the dead of winter.
