Last week we mentioned that local folky-madman-about-town Monzie Leo is back after an extensive tour of the Northwest. As promised, he’s been showering us in new material.

We recently caught him at Five Bar in Lawrence. We noticed he has become even more dramatic in his performance (if that’s even possible), and his songs are gut-wrenching enough to keep you entranced throughout the entire set. Here’s a snippet of what we saw over the weekend, which features a slower tune with a little bit of swaying and sleepy tap-dancing from the raw musician.
