Mondays are in no way mundane if you live in Lawrence. Over the last year, Papa Keno’s has been opening the back seating area up to local musicians looking to kick start their week with a little fun. Banjos, guitars, and tubas make their way onto the patio every Monday for an evening of relaxed jams.

Local folk commander Tyler Gregory generally leads these (except when he’s on tour, which he will be in June), and invites musicians new and experienced to join in on the fun. Some of the songs are well-known, and others belong to Tyler.

Here’s what the carefree community looks like. If you’d like to indulge, they gather from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. every Monday at Papa Keno’s Pizzeria, 1035 Massachusetts St.
