Baldwin City’s music scene is delivering yet another gift to the local music scene. Greygarden’s latest EP I Don’t See It Coming is a blend of indie rock and twangy Midwestern sounds with a no-nonsense approach to their lyrics (if you like Flash Floods, you’re going to really dig Greygarden). When we go to a bar to enjoy a hometown show, this is the band we’d want to see. It’s hard to believe this is a band of young performers (half of them are KU students) when the vocalist sounds like an old soul who’s seen a thing or two.

The band is about as local as you can get, all hailing from Baldwin City, and even recording the title track at the Lawrence Public Library’s Sound+Vision Studio. You can listen to the new EP and watch the music video for the new single below (hey, the light tunnel makes an appearance!).

Greygarden are:

  • Chris Elliott – Vocals, rhythm guitar
  • Cael Harris – Keyboard
  • Ty Harris – Lead guitar
  • Henry Parks – Drums
