This was a dream lineup at the Bottleneck on Friday night, the kind that folks get dressed up for when they go out. The Band That Saved The World is already one of Lawrence’s most danciest, soulful, and funkiest bands, with songs that urge everyone to cut a rug. But on this night, they teamed up with R&B/dance duo VCMN to back each other up on both acts’ songs. The four-part harmonies were to die for. Reggae band Page 7 started the night off with a series of originals and covers. Because both acts shared a horn section, many of the musicians were pulling double duty thanks to their infectious energy and stamina. Photos from the night below.
