When you think of sludgy metal, accordion and violins don’t necessarily come to mind. But Thursday night’s show at the Granada accomplished that very unique sound thanks to Boris, SubRosa, and Endon.

Though they were celebrating their 25th anniversary and touted new music off the recently released Dear, Boris came out for an encore with music from the Pink album as a token of thanks to their fans for canceling their earlier, original date months ago. The rest of the set was filled with droney, metal perfection complete with capes, a double-necked guitar, and one of the world’s most exciting (and charismatic) drummers.
