The Raven Bookstore is turning into a unique little venue for non-conventional shows. This week they hosted a trio of acoustic acts, including Monica George and the Dallas-based They Say The Wind Made Them Crazy. We documented their operatic and hauntingly beautiful tunes over on our Instagram account.

But we were delighted to see Nate Henricks out in the wild. The Lawrence songwriter, and one-half of Youngest Children, normally sports a pleasant demeanor. But his songs provide an outlet for his peculiar inner monologue. He’s such an interesting musician, when it comes to his approach to these songs. It’s a bit like listening to Neutral Milk Hotel take on interdimensional travel.
