Balloons, streamers, and confetti abound last Friday night at The Replay Lounge. Nope, it wasn’t New Years Eve. You didn’t even sleep through Christmas (although winter hibernation has always sounded appealing to me.) Friday night, The Replay played host to another I Heart Local Music showcase featuring The Sluts, The Quivers, and Dean Monkey and The Dropouts.

With dirty doo-wop from Dean Monkey and The Dropouts, greasy garage rock from The Quivers, and the sleazy signature sounds of The Sluts, the rock was so heavy my head is still poundin’. And that’s a great thing.
