Everyone loves a weird Lawrence music video, and this one may be the best one of the year.

Up The Academy recently released the video for “Gimme Gimme,” which features a host of familiar faces (including some local musicians) and bizarre tricks. You’ll recognize some familiar landmarks, like Wild Man Vintage and The Replay. The video comes to us from director David Bessenhoffer, of Austin, who (judging by the video) has a special affection for special effects and lasers.

The band says the idea for the video came after they found jumpsuits in Wild Man Vintage. After that, they started playing shows while wearing the jumpsuits. The video centers around a local musician who finds a jumpsuit that gives him special powers (which includes turning Lawrencians into jumpsuit-wearing supserstars).
