If you’d like to know what type of fans show up to a Carly Rae Jepsen concert, it’s dozens of adorable children and well-dressed gay men. So naturally, the singer known for her hit “Call Me Maybe,” was met with high-pitched cheers, squeals, and declarations of “I love you, Carly!”

The spritely pop star embodied a free spirit, sporting a big flashy smile when she was singing and twirling with her arms (with her eyes gleefully shut) when she wasn’t. Despite a sweltering hot atmosphere inside the Granada (and humid Kansas Spring air outside the venue), the fans kept their spirits high thanks to an energetic performance from the band and a vivid light show.

She was joined on this tour by Cardiknox, an equally poppy group with an active and lively stage presence and new album to tout.
