“Happy Father’s Day, bastards,” was Joshua Tillman’s greeting to the crowd Sunday night at the Granada. Father John Misty was energetic and witty as ever. Tillman lamented missing out on free ice cream for fathers from Sylas and Maddy’s next door, wishing he could have impregnated his fiance in time, ‘come on babe, we’ve got 15 minutes ’till they close!’ Father John Misty rocked the dads, the moms, the sons and daughters, and showed everyone a great time.

Openers Pure Bathing Culture treated the audience to an ethereal indie rock set that was pretty and hip. The crowd made space for dancing, and this much-buzzed show paid off for the spectators.
