We love this time of year because it feels very Kansas to us. The sunflowers at farms across the state are usually in full bloom– and in Lawrence, folks like to trek out to Grinter Farms to take in the beauty of the official state flower.

Every year we like to take some musicians out to the fields for a little sunflower session. This year was a special one, though, because we coordinated with Unfit Wives to announce their new lineup. Betsy O (of Betsy O & the Hollaback Boys) is now stepping in on bass. You can hear what they sound like below with one of their newest songs, “Station #5,” written by Reagan Zagan (what a voice!).
