As if we needed more proof that 2019 was going to be the year that teen bands ruled the scene.

With bands like LK Ultra, Chess Club, and Redroom becoming common names in lineups, it’s no surprise that we’re starting to see more from outsiders Oxford Remedy. This band of rockers is the dark horse in this race, and landed everyone a blow with their recently released “Vending Machine.”

It will never cease to amaze how well the area’s teen bands are nailing mid-90’s rock styles, and the new track from Oxford Remedy is no exception. Melodically, it’s sugary sweet. Lyrically, depressing and angsty as hell. But we’re forever in love with the harmonizing chorus on this one.

Give it a listen, and check them out at White Schoolhouse’s all-ages PA Fundraiser this weekend.
