Lawrence got a dose of that older brand of punk when three established bands filled the Replay with mayhem on Friday night. About ten years ago, it was safe to say that Stiff Middle Fingers was the most recognizable punk band in the scene. Since then, the members have scattered and pursued various ventures. But with a new album out, the band decided to reunite in Lawrence and throw down the old-fashioned way. The Replay mosh floor has not seen this much action since the pre-pandemic days. Everyone was going nuts. There were furloughed government employees exploring their rage, trans women giving each other piggy back rides in the mosh pit… one guy even picked up the band’s vocalist and walked off with him! Nothing was off limits and it felt like time hadn’t really passed at all.
They were joined by Lawrence’s equally hardcore punk rockers White Line Nightmares and new wave rockers LYXE. Photos from the night below.
