We just LOVE Spring. It signifies new life, new ideas, and a return to a lively concert scene.

To celebrate Spring and new life, every year we recruit a local musician to sing to a baby (what better symbol of new life than to serenade a new life!). This year, we called upon Wayne Gottstine (who is apparently a BABY whisperer, seriously babies LOVE this guy) to sing to baby Wyatt. If you go to bluegrass and country shows, you might recognize Wyatt as the newest member of the Jenna Rae / Martin Farrell (of Jenna and Martin) family. Well, Wayne and Wyatt were just two peas in a pod. Music runs deep in the family, as Wyatt was hanging on Wayne’s every word. Normally, we get one take out of our “Sings to a baby” series, but on this one Wayne just kept pulling out the hits and Wyatt kept singing along.

Can’t get enough of Wayne? He’ll be playing with Kansas City Bear Fighters at the Replay on April 18, his first big show back since defeating cancer (we meant it when we said we celebrate LIFE in the Spring!).
