Think of the rowdiest school reunion you’ve been to, and that’s about what it felt like. The Replay threw down hard for their 30th birthday, but the musical acts (primarily comprised of ex-employees) threw down harder. We only caught a small portion of the weekend-long celebration, one that brought some familiar faces to the stage (that’s a nice way of saying they brought out the old bands for the old timers).

Mouthbreathers reunited for the first time in five years, while BaioWolf delivered a noise set that was somewhere between Beastie Boys and “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” Psychic Heat kick started the night off with some older songs from their discography.

But it was Approach who just knocked everyone off their feet. That man was there for, like, maybe seven minutes. He ditched the mic after one song (which he can do sans amps because everyone actually listens to his sets), and free styled intimate details of people’s lives back to them. If you were in his line of vision, he’d rap something about you (HE KNOWS TOO MUCH!).

Photos from the night below. Night 3 continues Sunday with the patio matinee.

Editor’s note: We chose not to cover Night 1 as it fell on a worldwide day of music industry professionals boycotting work to stand in solidarity with Palestine.
