Oh boy! Lawrence, you’re in for a treat. We were big fans of The Kinetiks back in the day, and frontwoman Spencer Goertz-Giffen is back at it again with Alien Hellbop.

After a brief career retreat to Chico, California, Goertz-Giffin and musical/life partner Braden Young (The Magentlemen) returned to Lawrence to dive back into their rock roots. They’ve just released a new EP, After the Quake, which layers vintage rock riffs (Spencer’s specialty), crashing drums, and highly danceable rhythms.

They’re celebrating with an EP release show next month on November 19 at the Replay with the Shebangs and Lonnie Fisher and the Funeral. This is a special lineup, as all three acts are releasing albums (triple album release show!).
