Ope, you caught us! We snuck out of Kaw River Roots Fest to catch Kansas City salsa group Los Subtropicales. Braving the hefty door fee for this show was worth it. The group’s bandleader turned the charisma up to 11, schmoozing with the crowd and getting them on their feet. By the time we snuck back out, folks were dancing in front of the stage, by the bar, next to the ATM, everywhere.
