Sometimes live music just needs a good break, and we got one on Sunday. With pleasant temperatures at an event that notoriously happens on the hottest day of the year, the Kansas State Fiddling and Picking Championship was a pleasant place to be on Sunday. This is the 40th year for FidPick, and the historic event was marked by a supportive atmosphere full of revelers exchanging pleasantries under the shade of the South Park tree canopies. Lawn chairs and picnic blankets dotted the landscapes as the sound of banjos, guitars, and fiddles rang in the air. You can see photos from the event below:
