Ben Sauder (who you likely know as No Magic), flips the switch with Puncture Electric, a collection of ambient and electronic tunes, with a surreal cover of sorts (“Sandman”) thrown in for good measure. Sauder describes the project as “music [made] over the past year, mostly at night while drifting to sleep.” And there’s certainly a dreamy quality throughout. Sauder lets soothing glitches and sleek drones wash over you in a sleek wave. He balances chill and trippy in equal measure. A relaxing meditation to bring much needed solace.
