If you’ve been missing high-paced, high-energy, and highly thrilling guitar rock, the Granada was the place to be Sunday night. The venue saw an explosion of color and animated fans thanks to Wavves’ rip-roaring set. They brought along the ever chorusy Twin Peaks, a highly thrilling band of rockers that’s somewhere between Broncho and Scruffy & the Janitors. SWMRS is a California act that hates L.A., and they made sure you were aware of this fact thanks to a popular song that had them repeatedly declaring “I hate Los Angeles!” They started off the night with a presence completely reminiscent of Nirvana, right down to the way the frontman dressed. It was an event that was full of antics, including crowd surfing and streaking.
