While Sundays are normally a time to wind down, this was not the case at the Bottleneck. That’s where a young and chipper audience was treated to an upbeat performance by Albert Hammond, Jr.

Much of the crowd was familiar with his work as a guitarist for The Strokes, but Hammond has also nailed down a successful solo career full of lively and fast-paced songs that just beg the listener to dance. Touring in support of Momentary Masters, Hammond was smiley and cheerful onstage while at the same time making his impressive guitar work look effortless.

He was joined by Prinze George, a band full of pleasing electronic noises, harmonies, and an absolutely delightful drummer. Clad in all white (right down to their shoes), the band delighted with cheery and rosy numbers while the singer swayed from side to side. You would hardly know it was their first tour, as the band delivered some of the more favorable synth pop battling it out in the current scene.
