Tech N9ne, homegrown hip-hop artist and self proclaimed #1 DIY artist in the world, set The Granada on FIRE this weekend with a sold out stop on his latest North American tour. Granted, the fire was digital imagery on an impressive lighting set-up, but the heat still came (and came high) from the talented line-up of local openers and label mate Stevie Stone.

At one point, one of Tech N9ne’s production crew members took the stage in the lull between sets and turned, what initially seemed to be a bit of hype before the headlining antics of Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko, into a surprise marriage proposal for his girlfriend, screaming “Strange Music made this possible” into the mic as he ushered his new fiancé from the stage.

The last hour saw an incredible display of energy from both Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko as they took turns performing. At one point, Tech N9ne disappeared during one of Krizz’s songs, only to reappear in the middle of the audience, seemingly unnoticed by the crowd, to perform to a mass of giddy fans with iPhones recording. Needless to say, Tech N9ne putts on one helluva show.
