This week, treat yourself to a couple of brand new tracks from Lawrence punk rockers Sovereign States. The band formerly known as My Brother The Vulture is looking to put out an EP this spring, and have released two of their six recorded songs to the public. They called upon Jeff Gengler, who previously recorded My Brother The Vulture tracks, to help out with “Caveat Emptor” and “Breathers.”

After the EP release, Sovereign States hopes to keep playing regional shows, including one this Saturday at the Granada with Pilot for a Day and a host of others, before heading out on tour this summer.
