Kaw River Roots Presents: The Dewayn Brothers live at Lucia!

Laying claim to a uniquely non-traditional Kansas bluegrass sound, The Dewayn Brothers draw on influences ranging from Jimi Martin to Janis Joplin and Dolly Parton to Dream Theater. With a strong female vocalist at the helm, the band is equally comfortable playing barn-burning drinking songs as well as ballads of love and loss. After forming in 2001, The Dewayn Brothers quickly gained popularity with local and regional audiences and in 2005 embarked on an extensive national touring schedule that took them from coast to coast and north to south.

After five years of touring the country, The Dewayn Brothers hung up their hats to pursue the common things in life: education, families, etc. In 2014, the group reformed, bringing another decade’s worth of experiences and life lessons to their material both old and new.
