If you’re a fan of guitar rock and changing time signatures, you’ll find joy in Common Room’s post-rock sound. Their latest self-titled release is a three-song EP, recorded and mixed by Eric Graves (formerly of The Esoteric). The EP closes out the EP with their standout release, “Resurrected,” a favorite among the band’s listeners. Common Room’s tracks are rich with deep and heavy guitars and bass, breathy vocals (except for the growling breakdown on “Glomar Response”), moody lyrics, and explorations into math rock. Think Hum if they were a little more metal.

You can listen to the album below before catching Common Room at Lucia on May 23.
