Jazz took center stage at the Replay Friday night as three bands provided different interpretations of the genre. Evil Twin, a newer duo out of Lawrence, opened the night with a whole lot of guitar work, complicated drum arrangements, and the kind of riffs you may hear in a Quentin Tarantino driving scene. Akkilles delighted fans with their crooning indie sound. Fritz Hutchison rounded out the night with a full band and a very needed jovial sound for this time of year. It was welcomed with open arms by the audience, thanks to their horn section and a delightful jazz trumpet solo.
