The final day of Middle of the Map Fest assured the Crossroads area an entire day buzzing with activity. Because the fourth day of the Spring music festival fell on a Saturday, day shows fired up across several locations by mid-afternoon. Local bands dotted the landscape, with Toughies impressing a large crowd at The Brick and Pink Royal kicking off a bright and sunny set on the Crossroads stage. The night ended with sets from STRFKR (a band featuring ex-pat Andrew Connor, of Ghosty) and the Screaming Eagle of Soul, Charles Bradley, whose set drew in the largest crowd of the night at The Midland. He stunned and wowed audiences with his larger-than-life stage presence, voice, and dancing. Aimee Mann rounded out the night at The Midland with perfectly constructed songs and witty stage banter between herself and the intimate audience.
