The Philistines are cool as fuck. Seriously, look at this fucking band. They’ve only been to the Replay three times, and they’re already cool as fuck.

The Philistines’ music is something you’d hear in a Tarantino movie when our hero comes on screen to whoop some ass. They are a structurally sound band with their rhythm and lead guitars guarding the sides of the stage, while the bassist and drummer hold it down in the middle. Male vocals? Female vocals? They’ve got that shit down. Slow jams? Fast, heart-racing thrillers? Nailed it. You wanna dance? The Philistines will make you dance. Hell, they even made the popcorn at the Replay dance on Thursday night.

The Philistines will make you dance. They'll also make the Replay popcorn dance. @thephilistines

This is a band that, regardless of how the audience feels, genuinely likes to rock out with each other. But audiences love them. There are always a few converts at every show, and they’re not afraid to jump into the crowd and shake things up. This is a band that never goes out quietly, and every song ends on a grand finish after a magnificent buildup. “Twitch of the Death Nerve,” arguably their best song, is a great example of this.

Whatever you’re looking for in a band, The Philistines got it. They’re what makes classic look cool.
