We still have a long winter ahead of us, but here’s a little something to look forward to over the summer. Lawrence Field Day Fest is back at work and getting ready to accept band applications.

Organizers of the summer music festival launched a Facebook page this week and announced that the event will take place June 25-27. That’s when we should, once again, expect to see live music from local and regional acts sprawled across several venues over Downtown Lawrence.

Bands wanting to take part in the three-day music extravaganza should email [email protected]. Considering the raging success of last year’s event, we’d say inquiring about the festival is a wise decision.
