After a nearly two-year absence, Broncho returned to Kansas City at recordBar on Thursday night armed with a new lineup and loads of new music to show off.

Thee band is on this most recent tour with Low Litas, another Oklahoma-based group. The girls in Low Litas stunned and impressed with their fuzzy guitars and rock reminiscent of all that was good in the 90’s. They even won over the toughest of critics in the tightly-packed audience, and emitted great amounts of noise considering there were just three of them onstage.

Low Litas then joined Broncho for an entirely noise-encompassing rock set. With that many guitars (and hair flips) onstage, the audience was treated to a delicious smorgasbord of bellowing turbulence from that corner of the venue.

While Broncho retained many of their thrashing qualities in the punk-infused songs, a lot of their new tunes also bring a dancier mix to the table. The album isn’t quite out yet, but you can preview those songs here.

Local rockers Sneaky Creeps started the evening off with their erratic punk riffs and impressive vocal arrangements. Various Blonde also joined the bill, and absolutely slayed with perfectly executed psychedelic calamity.
