Country Mice are from New York, but they’re well-loved in Lawrence. The familiar faces returned to the Replay on Thursday for a night of solid rock music, impressive guitar solos, mesmerizing harmonizing, and oodles of twangy goodness.

The fellas in Country Mice are masters of the buildup. Amidst all that intricate guitar work, their sound will head from soft and beautiful to hectic and frenzied in a matter of seconds, and you’ll never see it coming. Their music is best enjoyed loud.
