Friday night The Granada hosted a national tour of Anticon Records artists Serengeti and Why?. Jel, hailing from Berkley, California, played house DJ to start things off and in between sets. Chicago backpack rapper, Serengeti, delivered a heartfelt set of emo rhymes and chicago insider references. Why? then took the stage with a six piece set up and the crowd joined in singing along with their distinctive indie hip-hop sound and giggling to founding member Yoni Wolf’s subtle sense of humor. Catch any of these acts next time they’re in town for a great set.
