When one of Lawrence’s best concert venues turns 100, it celebrates in style. A party of epic proportions featured performances from The Flaming Lips and Deerhoof, along with a massive outdoor party. The Flaming Lips are generally festival favorites, which is why seeing their colorful carnage erupt inside a venue (as opposed to an outdoor stage) was such a sight to behold. The sweaty show was sold out, but that didn’t keep hundreds of enthusiastic party-goers from gathering for the outdoor street party (which kept on well into the night).
