Fairies, elves, peasants, and princesses alike all gathered to enjoy an exciting performance by Belle & The Vertigo Waves at the Ship in Kansas City last night. Fans heard the band’s new concept album Annie live for the first time. The fairy tale themed night featured tarot card reading, face painting, live music, and a drag show hosted by Burley Esque.

Among the sea of Shrek ears, Belle & The Vertigo Waves opened with a cover of “Holding Out for a Hero” to many cheers. They followed with songs from their newly released album, Annie. With fans already singing along, the album live was just as energetic and gritty as the release. Later, Miki P from the Swallowtails joined Belle on stage for a song, bringing the laughter and energy to a peak. The band closed the set with a cover of “Bad Romance” that everyone could sing their hearts out to.
