Sometimes it rains on Mardi Gras, but that doesn’t keep the band from bringing a joyful noise to Downtown Lawrence. The newly formed River Brass Band kicked off Mardi Gras in Lawrence on Fat Tuesday with a boisterous musical march down Mass, though much of it was spent indoors at various businesses to avoid the rain (see video below). Photos from the very soggy Mardi Gras (Soggy Gras, as they were calling it) below.
