Bluegrass Brunch was the extra serving of the 4th Kaw River Roots Festival in Lawrence, Kansas, on Sunday, June 23rd.

Lucia hosted several acts not featured in the lineup at the festival. Spencer & Rains shared the stage with friends and family as far away as from California to start the show. Kansas City’s Shakedown Strings followed up with lots of their bluegrass renditions of popular Grateful Dead songs. Pretend Friend played their 2nd set from the event and Front Porch was a last minute fill-in on Sunday after playing a late evening set on Saturday as well. One Way Traffic closed out Bluegrass Brunch and the Kaw River Roots Festival for 2024. There was a lively crowd, many familiar faces seen year after year who danced, sung along and ate up all songs the bands could serve.
