Will Weinstein is one of the more melodic one-man-bands in the business. The Kansas City songwriter behind Monster uses a number of gadgets, mics, synths, and guitars to craft his music. Who better to release a song about the loneliness of the holidays than this solo performer?

Interchanging between his baritone and higher pitched verses, Weinstein weaves a holiday-themed tale on “It’s Been A Long Year.” It’s a bit of a tale of woe, as he describes the feeling after a grueling and tumultuous year. “What you see ain’t a photograph in a magazine,” he croons before giving in. “No I’m not promising a Christmas from a fairy tale, but God damn, just sing a long, you might as well.” In traditional fashion, he signs off with a “Merry Christmas, everyone.”
