The Crumpletons are a Lawrence, KS band that plays music from the 1960s.

Band members are veterans of the Lawrence music scene and include: Janette Michaels (vocals and flute), Pete Wyman (vocals and bass), John Lomas (guitar, 12-string guitar and vocals), Jim Piller (drums), and Lynn Piller (vocals, guitar, and pedal steel guitar).

Music from the band includes: The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Zombies, Yardbirds, Dave Clark Five, Dusty Springfield, Byrds, Beau Brummels, Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Martha and the Vandellas, Buffalo Springfield, and other related artists.

The band specializes in lots of vocal harmony and jingle-jangle guitars. Music from the 60’s faithfully rendered by musicians who were there to experience it, and play it like it was — this is the real thing.

The band plays regularly at the Jazzhaus in Lawrence on the first Saturday of each month from 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
