Making Movies – Photo by Fally Afani

Long before Bad Bunny’s all Spanish-language halftime show caught the nation’s attention, Lawrence was already setting the trend. Back in the Fall, Making Movies hit the football field at the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium for a thrilling medley of their hits. The best part? The KU Marching Jayhawks served as their backing band.

It was such a big spectacle that it had to be documented into a mini-movie. On Thursday night, Lawrence music fans got a sneak peek at the film when Making Movies debuted it at The Bottleneck. The film won’t be on YouTube for a bit, but the halftime show gave a little insight into some of the band’s new music. The screening was followed by a set that brought everyone to their feet and dancing (the band also debuted even more tracks from their upcoming release at the show).

They were joined by recent Farmers Ball champions The Soul Agenda, WHO DEFINITELY SHOULD BE YOUR NEW FAVORITE BAND, as well as Lawrence pop rockers Golf On Television.
