Award-winning marimbist Eriko Daimo is one of the leading artists in her field. She has recently performed with such elite orchestras as the RTE Ireland National Symphony Orchestra, Tampere Philharmonic in Finland and the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. As an educator, she has given concerts and masterclasses at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, the Paris Conservatory and the Colburn Conservatory, to name a few.

Daimo will be joined by the KU Percussion Group (KUPG), a nationally renowned chamber percussion ensemble dedicated to performances of new and classic percussion repertoire. Mobilizing percussion’s enormous sonic and stylistic breadth, KUPG presents invigorating performances of classic repertoire while collaborating with composers on groundbreaking new works.
