This show was not for the faint of heart. The Ben Miller Band brought bluegrass for the badass to the Bottleneck Friday night. An animated and zealous stage presence played well into their exuberant personalities, a washtub bass, and (of course) their electric washboard. They were joined by Kansas City’s Whiskey For the Lady, a band that describes their sound as “metalgrass”– and honestly, we’ve yet to find a word that describes them better.
