You can’t really contain Nnamdi Ogbonnaya. The musician stopped by Lawrence hot off a SXSW run on Sunday evening, bringing his vast knowledge of musical genre play to the patio stage. Backed by a full band, he blew through anything from jazz to psych, funk, and even a little emo (think Appleseed Cast with a big old funk kick to it). Every genre and style was on the table. He also threw down hard with the crowd, biding his time between playing guitar onstage and jumping around offstage with fans. Local hip-hop duo Lincoln Marshall opened the show with equally lively antics without ever setting foot on the stage.
