The word Clowder is defined as a group of cats, and the musicians in the band by the same moniker are some seriously cool cats.

The locals have been playing around the area for quite some time, but venues like Lucia really allow them to shine. Comprised of some of the more notable jazz musicians in Lawrence, they play with harmonies and provide music that’s easy to groove to. In all honesty, jazz musicians don’t get enough credit in this town. But Clowder is a band that’s easy to love thanks to their carefree spirit and tunes that lean toward a poppier sound.
