We don’t get too many instrumental rock bands in Lawrence, but here’s one worthy of your attention.

Braingea just released some new music recently, and on Friday they’ll be rocking your favorite Downtown record store to celebrate. They’re set to perform at Love Garden with trash-rockers Macemouth, as well as LuvCraf.

Braingea is heavy on the rock and roll, and it’s easy to see why they’re favorites in the local psych rock scene (they’ve played with Stone Grower before). Their tunes are hard-hitting, fast-paced numbers that play between genres and bring headbangers along for the ride. You can listen to their new music below, then see them on Friday at Love Garden.
