Located downtown a few doors away from the Granada (which owns and runs it), Lucia has been hosting a steady stream of shows over the past few weeks. Formerly known as Fatso’s, the venue maintains a steady diet of DJs for when Lawrencians want to go out dancing (or when they open the garage doors to their spacious patio to let the nice weather in). Otherwise, they’ve been booking a fairly eclectic stream of shows. Lucia has been home to hip-hop, reggae, bluegrass, and folk. One genre we haven’t seen there, however, is punk (that usually belongs to the Replay, for the most part). But Lucia maintains with quality local artists and a reasonable cover at the door.
