The wildest party in Kansas City had to be at the Melt Banana show on Wednesday night. recordBar was filled to the brim with punk rockers, metal heads, and everything in between. The Japanese duo had worked the audience into a frenzy, and they thrashed and crowd surfed the night away while the band roared onstage. Melt Banana was joined on this tour by Torche, who delighted rock fans with a fairly lengthy set list, and Hot Nerds, a wildly expressive band that brought what we can only describe as “hardcore glee” to the venue.
