It appears Nicholas St. James works very well under pressure.

Nestled in the tiniest of corners in North Lawrence, the outdoor stage at the Gaslight is a good way to spend a gorgeous, mild evening. Lights climbed up the tree and decorated the fence, trains gently blared their horns in the distance, and Nicholas St. James prepared to take the stage.

But the Gaslight also has a TV screen outside, and Nicholas (a die-hard Cardinals fan) had to keep great composure while watching the Royals annihilate his team on Friday evening. He also took some heckling over it from the crowd, but since Nicholas tends to shine his brightest in dark corners, he mastered his set.
